Allen x Reader New Years Party

“Guys, you do realize we literally have an hour left until midnight,” you say loudly, walking into the cafeteria. Lavi turns his head towards you, still lifting Kanda up to pin the New Years banner across the wall. “_____! Have you gotten the food prepared?” Suddenly distracted by your presence, he releases Kanda, causing him to crash down with a shout.

“GOD DAMN USAGI!” He roared. Lavi quickly turns back towards a very enraged Kanda, knowing that if he went near him, he’d surely end his life. “Oops! Sorry, Yu! ____ is here now; I thought she wanted help or something!” He immediately stepped behind you and held your shoulders, changing your title from “friend” into “human shield”. You sigh and shake his hands off, giving a side smile as you approached Kanda, still lying on the ground. You lean over him and hold out your hand. “Here,” you smile.

He grunts and looks away, but reluctantly grabs your hand. With a swift pull, you yank him up. “Thanks…” he mutters. You nod, your eyes beginning to wander. “So… Do you happen to know where Allen is?” You ask softly. “Beansprout? No, why would I?” Kanda replied. You frowned at him and turned to Lavi. “What about you?” He raises his eyebrows, scratching his neck, obviously not paying attention.

“Where’s Allen?” You ask again. “Oh, he said he was going to grab a…” Suddenly, Lavi hunched over with a look depressing realization. “Oh no…” You give a dramatic sigh and start to jog past him. “Great, you were supposed to stop him if he wanted a snack!” You huff loudly, running into the hallway. “Wait! I’m coming with!” Lavi shouted, quickly catching up to you. The look in his emerald eye explained everything. “Alright, let’s just hope he doesn’t… well…” You couldn’t bring yourself to say the words. “There’s no way he can eat all that food, don’t worry ____,” Lavi grins. You shake your head, turning down another hall. “You obviously don’t know Allen like I do,” you chuckle.

You saw the entrance to the back kitchen and slid to a halt, letting Lavi slide into you. “ALLEN! DON’T DO IT!” You shouted, rushing through the archway. Lavi was breathing heavily, following your footsteps. Allen was sitting there, wide eyed and cake faced. His cheeks were bloated with frosting dabbed on the corners of his mouth. “Erm… Hi guysh…” He said with his mouth full, little crumbs spilling from his lips.

You sigh and slap your forehead in defeat, Lavi hanging over your shoulder. “You retarded rabbit…” You mutter under your breath. Lavi gives you a small glare. “That was… the New Years cake…” You whimper. Allen’s eyes immediately widen significantly more. “Oh God I’m sho shorry!” He muffled, trying his hardest to swallow. “Yeah well… Nothing we can do now,” you sigh, walking over to him.

You turn him towards you, sadly eyeing the remains of what was supposed to be a cake. You shake your head and look up at him, grabbing a cloth from his vest pocket and wiping the corners of his lips softly. He gazed down at you as you did, his eyes gently and passionate. You smile as he leans in close, kissing you tenderly. He slowly snakes his arms around your waist and pulls you closer, tilting your head back slightly. You make a small sound of protest, pulling away.

“Not now Allen! We have to prepare for the party!” You say quietly. He frowns slightly as he squeezes your waist softly. “But…” You shake your head and giggle, stepping out of his embrace. “Besides, I don’t want an audience,” you switch your gaze from Allen to Lavi, whose cheeks were a light shade of red. “Oh fine…” he whines. You shake your head and walk out of the kitchen, both of them trailing behind you. “Well… Now that we don’t have a cake, I’ll have to come up with something else.” Allen groans slightly as Lavi pats him on his back. “Hey man, its okay, ____ always has something up her sleeve!” He grins stupidly. “You think I don’t know that already?” Allen smiled.
