Literature Text

You felt extremely out of place at Miss Elizabeth’s wedding. When you walk into the large, castle-like building, the floor was polished and shined, the design in the center being a bold flower. Tables blanketed in white were set along the outside of the flower, the one at the end of the room holding an elegant white cake, decorated with blush pink frosting flowers and twisting ribbons. The large crystal chandelier that hung from the center of the high up ceiling illuminated the room magnificently. So many people were dressed in bright colors and chatting about, most holding gold rimmed champagne glasses.

You brushed aside your bangs that were clouding your vision. As you made your way through the crowd, Ciel clearing a path for you, you heard a squeal from the right. “____________!!!!!!!” Your eyes widened as a young girl pounced on you. “I missed you so much!! And you look so cuuuuuute!” You smile at her uneasily and set her down. She examined you from head to toe. “Those jewels around your neck suit you quite well ____! I’m so glad Ciel brought you along!” Elizabeth took your hands and began to drag you across the room. You looked back at Ciel with a “Please help me!” look. You narrowed your eyes at him as he smirked. He knew this would be a challenge for you, and he was quite entertained with your struggle. That little punk!

“I want you to meet my soon to be husband, Bradley!” She dragged you towards a tall man chatting with Elizabeth’s mother. “Darliiiiing! I have someone I would like you to meet! Her name’s _____, isn’t she cute?” The man glanced down at you then smiled. He had obsidian hair and dark gray eyes, and certainly handsome. He knelt down on one knee and took you hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss _____.” He lightly kissed the tips of your fingers. However, that usual warm feeling you get when you’re around Ciel and he does actions like this did not come. It confused you, but you were happy that it was only the young master who made you feel that way.

Elizabeth squealed and bounced up and down on her toes. “Isn’t he such a gentleman?” You smile and nod. You see her hold her hand up to his ear and whisper something. Hating secrets, you tune every clink of a glass and chattering voice out, focusing your hearing on the two in front of you. “Do be kind to her, she’s the one I was talking about earlier.” Bradley nodded and bowed his head. You were slightly curious. What was Miss Elizabeth saying about you? She turned to you and smiled brightly. “Come on, _____! It’s almost time!” She grabbed your hands and began dragging you to the front of the room.

When you reached the front of the room, people were beginning to sit themselves down in beautifully crafted wood benches. Your eyes scanned the crowd for familiar faces. A couple you recognized, such as ones who have done business with the young master, others were people of the higher ups, the ones you saw in photographs in the morning paper. Your eyes finally landed on Ciel, dressed in a blue suit that complemented his skin, sitting in the front row. He saw you standing on the raised platform. He tilted his head slightly confused, raising an eyebrow. You shrugged one shoulder, hoping no one really noticed.

Suddenly, Elizabeth thrust a bouquet of bright pink and white roses into your hands. “You’re a bridesmaid! I really wanted you to surprise you, I was talking to Bradley about it earlier!” You stare at her briefly, taking in the information. Then you blink and then nod your head smiling, pulling on one of her lovely blonde curls softly as if to say thanks. She giggled then ran down the red walkway that was placed shortly after arriving by Sebastian. You stood there holding the bouquet of flowers to your chest watching as people settled down and the groom stood under the altar full of blooming white flowers and brilliant green vines.

As the music began, a young girl came swiftly walking down the red walkway, throwing flower petals all over the floor. What was she doing? Was this part of the ceremony? As the little girl rushed to stand to the side, a beautiful girl dressed in pure white with a veil hiding the angel beneath began walking down the path. As she passed each row, people began to stand up. You haven’t seen this girl in the party yet. Wasn’t Elizabeth supposed to be up here with Bradley? This was her wedding, wasn’t it? She passed by you and the two other girls beside you and took her place in front of the groom. Bradley had bright pink dusted on his cheeks as he lifted the veil. You raise your eyebrows as you see Miss Elizabeth’s face. Such a gorgeous young woman she has become. As the music ceased, the priest in behind them began to speak.

“You may now kiss the bride.” As the priest spoke those words, Bradley took Elizabeth by the waist and pulled her close before kissing her passionately in front of everybody. Looking at the crowd, you saw cheering men and crying women. You didn’t feel a particular strong emotion throughout this, but it was indeed heartwarming. Looking at Ciel, he had a smile painted across his face, but something was… off.
Here's part seven! I really, really enjoyed writing this one! I feel like I captured Elizabeth's wedding style really well, and I really hope you think so too (: If you guys enjoyed, let me know and I'll put up another part soon (: Let's find out why Ciel looked off, shall we? Oh! And Bradley is a complete made up character! No spoilers here! (; (I do not own any part of kuroshitsuji, just the story line!)
